Description
We're moving our 2020 Disaster Academy to a virtual platform so we do not miss out on the opportunity to train together. Our goal is to provide opportunities to take classes that will offer you something new, complete your G/A/P, build your confidence in your skills, and create your Red Cross development plan for the future.
Why should you be a part of the Virtual Disaster Academy? You'll have the chance to choose from over 100 training opportunities that will be available online through Edge, through partner training sites, or in a Red Cross Virtual Classroom. It's a great opportunity to complete your training, meet new people, and become more confident in your skills as a disaster worker.
The Disaster Academy has something for you, regardless of your role or experience.. Whether you respond to house fires, deploy on large events, install smoke alarms, assist with community presentations, help out at a Service to Armed Forces Rally, survey potential shelter sites, conduct Pillowcase programs for kids, take care of our offices, coordinate volunteer meetings, or conduct training, there will be courses and workshops to enhance your skills.
Participants who complete five classes, two confidence builder sessions, and create a development plan, will have a special edition 2020 Virtual Disaster Academy t-shirt mailed to your home.
Sign up for the Virtual Academy and we'll send you more information regarding your next steps.
We hope that you will choose to join us in 2020 for the 8th Annual Disaster Academy and strengthen your local area through training. Go to pacificdivision.weebly.com for more information about the 2020 Cascades Region Virtual Disaster Academy. or continue with this registration to sign-up.
